The Sony Radio Academy Awards
Since 1983 the Sony Radio Academy Awards have recognised the best is UK radio output from speech and drama through to news, comedy and music. Previous winners have included Chris Evans, Jonathan Ross, Terry Wogan and John Peel, to name but a few.
The SRAA team only wanted an online entry system that would seamlessly integrate with their back end (Apple Mac) driven system and their own winners website front end.
In less than four weeks using CORE the Awards Engine team had taken existing paper base entry forms and recreated them online, designed and built a site that seamlessly linked to the main website and created export scripts that took the data collected and at the push of a button exported it to their intranet.
In the first year we also developed a customised CD label printout module that dynamically created unique entry labels for entrants.
In the second year we created a bespoke judging system to help streamline and update the distribution of judging media to the judges.
London International Awards
The London International Awards have been running for 25 years and honours pre-eminent work in Advertising, Design and Digital Media.
The LIA are mostly based in New York and needed a digital system they could use anywhere in the world and that was flexible enough to fit in with their requirements.
Using Awards Engine CORE we delivered an entry system, online judging system and an online administration system that allowed the entries team to control every aspect of their entrants, entries and administration.
After entries closed, judges from around the world logged in and judged online entries. Offline entries were added to the database via the admin system after the live event took place.
Finalists and winners were then dynamically displayed in the winners website. Once again, controlled by the CORE backend.
Last year we built an offline judging system to integrate with the CORE system, allowing onsite groups of international judges to view and vote on entries.
ADC Young Guns
The internationally acclaimed Art Directors Club has an annual award show, entitled the ADC Young Guns, aimed at honouring creative young professionals across many different disciplines.
They asked us to take the CORE Entries module and customise it completely to allow for portfolio uploads (each entrant could upload ten different 'entries' comprising of many different images, videos or audio files). We also customised the judging module also, to allow for portfolio judging online as well.
The National Lottery Awards
The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite lottery-funded projects. This is their 5th year.
Taking the Awards Engine CORE entry module we have customised the output to create bespoke judging PDFs that are then sent through an offline short-listing process.
Then we’ve taken the CORE judging module and customised it into a bespoke online voting system that will be used by the general public for the two rounds of online voting.
